Lido di Venezia is the most famous of the islands in the Venice Lagoon and one of the most unique. Known mainly for being the venue of the International Film Festival, the island has a green soul with its 10 km of beaches, Blue Flag and Green Flag, and Alberoni, the WWF protected oasis of 160 hectares of pine forests and dune systems.
In 2022, the ‘Lido di Venezia Green‘ initiative was created to raise awareness among tourists and residents on the importance of sustainability and to promote more responsible tourism.
Lido di Venezia also offers initiatives to discover the island’s history and culture in a sustainable way. For instance, it is possible to visit the Venice International Film Festival, held every year in September, or to visit the numerous museums and monuments on the island.
The Lido confirms that it is possible to promote sustainable and responsible tourism also supported by our The Caesar hotel Venezia 2000 by providing bicycles for adults and children, as well as charging stations for electric cars.
