BRANZINO THE CHALLENGE
The International Kayak Fishing Tournament in the Orbetello Lagoon
Every year, The Caesar Park Hotel hosts participants Branzino the Challenge represents the pinnacle of kayak fishing competitions for catching sea bass, held in the suggestive Orbetello Lagoon.
This prestigious event, organised by the Insidefishing association under the aegis of the Municipality of Orbetello, takes place in May, when the lagoon is in perfect conditions for bass fishing.
The programme includes a preliminary pre-fishing day, allowing participants to explore the most promising corners of the lagoon, followed by two competition days of seven hours each.
Competitors compete in both individual and team rankings, consisting of two members per kayak.
Characterised by a strong commitment to no-kill, the competition requires the release of fish post-catch, after recording their size and taking a photo.
With the support of its partners, Branzino the Challenge offers prizes with a total value of more than EUR 40,000, with a significant portion of the prize money going to the first three winners.
This event is not just a competition, but a true celebration of friendship, sport, respect for nature and intense emotions, all set in the beautiful Orbetello.
