In Tuscany, every journey is a story

but the one by bike has a rhythm of its own…

A rhythm that follows your breath, the ups and downs, the scent of pine trees and earth.
Here, the bicycle is not just a means of transport — it’s a way to truly connect with the landscape, to explore places that might otherwise go unnoticed. If you love cycling in nature and want to experience Tuscany from a different perspective, we suggest three unique itineraries, suitable for all kinds of cyclists: from a coastal route perfect for families, to a breathtaking panoramic loop, and a tour through the most charming and wild hills of the inland.

🚴‍♀️ Argentario Loop – On the road of the sea and ancient towers

Distanza: 32 km · Dislivello: 500 m · Difficoltà: media · Tipo di bici: trekking, gravel, e-bike

A scenic tour around the entire Argentario promontory. Start from Porto Santo Stefano or Porto Ercole, climbing up to the Convent of the Passionist Fathers — a spectacular viewpoint overlooking Giglio Island and the Orbetello Lagoon.
The route continues along the panoramic road that embraces the Argentario, winding past rocky coves, ancient coastal towers, and the scent of Mediterranean scrub. Some sections are narrow, but traffic is minimal.
Perfect for those who love cycling immersed in nature, with time for photo stops.

From Massa Marittima to Lake Accesa – The ancient heart of the Metalliferous Hills

Distance: 40 km round trip · Elevation gain: 700 m · Difficulty: challenging · Bike type: trekking, e-bike recommended

An itinerary that combines the beauty of the Tuscan hinterland with the mystery of Etruscan history.
Begin in Massa Marittima, one of the most charming villages in the Maremma. From there, head south along a continuous mix of climbs and descents through vineyards, olive groves, and woods.
The destination is Lake Accesa, a small turquoise lake nestled among hills, where nature reigns supreme.
The area is also an important Etruscan archaeological site, with visible remains along the way.
The road is partly paved, partly dirt, and requires some effort — but the peace and beauty of the place are more than worth it.

Each itinerary can be adapted based on your fitness level — and with an e-bike, even climbs become enjoyable.
Bring water, a helmet, and an open spirit: every turn in Tuscany opens onto something beautiful!
