ARGENTARIO SAILING WEEK

Today marked the start of the long weekend of the 22nd Argentario Sailing Week, organised by the Yacht Club of Santo Stefano with the support of the Municipality of Monte Argentario.
This competition is one of the most eagerly awaited events by sailing enthusiasts and is a fantastic opportunity to take part in a regatta in one of the most beautiful areas of Tuscany, the Argentario, with the islands of Giglio, Montecristo and Elba, as well as Porto Santo Stefano and the ancient Roman port of Talamone.
The boats, designed by the big names on the international scene, cover 110 years of sailing history and are divided into six classes: Big Boats, Vintage, Classic, Classic IOR, Spirit of Tradition and S&S Swan.
In addition to the regattas, Argentario Sailing Week also offers initiatives and fringe events for spectators and participants.
The sailing season in Argentario lasts from April to October. Sailing enthusiasts can also rent a sailboat or yacht from one of the local charter companies.
Here are some suggestions for possible boat routes:
Set sail for the picturesque Isola del Giglio, known for its beautiful beaches, crystal clear waters and charming village. Spend the day exploring the island and enjoying the beaches.
Sail to Giannutri, a small island with pristine waters, ideal for snorkelling and diving. Explore the natural beauty of the island and enjoy some water activities.
Enjoy a drive along the coast and discover hidden coves and secluded beaches. Swim, sunbathe and relax on your sailboat.
Visit the Argentario Nature Reserve, a protected area known for its rich marine fauna and breathtaking scenery. Explore the reserve, go for a hike or snorkel in the clear waters.
