A varied route combining the natural beauty of the forest with the historical allure of Massa Marittima, a medieval town rich in art and culture. Perfect for those who enjoy a challenge — with a view.

📍 Massa Marittima – “Spaghetti” (Starting from Monacelle)
Distance: 35.6 km – Elevation gain: 1,110 m – Difficulty: hard
“Spaghetti Uphill” is a name every Tuscan cyclist knows. Steep climbs, technical descents, and a loop trail that challenges even the most experienced riders. If you crave adrenaline, this is your route.

📍 The 3M Cycle Route (Massa Marittima – Monterotondo Marittimo – Montieri)
Distance: approx. 90 km – Difficulty: variable
A large loop connecting three towns through forests, vineyards, and farmlands. With 14 rest areas and 10 assistance points, it’s also perfect for e-bikes thanks to its charging stations along the way.

Coastal Views and Hilltop Towns: Routes from Orbetello

📍 Albegna River and Marsiliana
Distance: 65 km (short option: 43 km) – Elevation: 150 m – Difficulty: easy
A relaxing itinerary that starts at Forte delle Saline, passes through Albinia, and follows the Albegna River along white roads. Once in Marsiliana, you can continue towards Capalbio or Ansedonia — two gems full of history and local flavors.

A short but intense ride through lagoons, sea, and nature. The route passes through the Feniglia Nature Reserve, Porto Ercole, and Ansedonia. Spanish forts and stunning coastal views make this perfect for thrill-seekers and lovers of authentic beauty.

📍 Monte Argentario
Distance: 65 km (short option: 45 km) – Elevation: up to 1,500 m – Difficulty: very difficult
This loop starts at Forte delle Saline, crosses the Giannella, and reaches Porto Santo Stefano. From there, follow the old railway tunnels converted into bike paths and climb the scenic route to Porto Ercole, with breathtaking ups and downs and views over the Tyrrhenian Sea. A detour allows for an easy return to Porto Santo Stefano.
