Venice Lido

A paradise to discover

Venice Lido

Welcome to Lido di Venezia, a green paradise just 10 minutes from Venice!
The ideal place to stay to discover Venice and the lagoon.

Those who come to Venice on holiday mainly dwell on the historical beauties of the city centre but ignore the beauty of the natural environment of the Lagoon, a unique ecosystem in its variety.

Lido offers 10 kilometres of beaches and is the ideal starting point for exploring the archipelago of islands that make up Venice. The Alberoni stretch is characterised by a 30-hectare pine forest where you can stroll along breathing in the scent of the sea. Those arriving here at quiet times of the day will often see a Kentish plover taking flight or a sea turtle crossing the sand.

For sports enthusiasts, Lido is the ideal place to go for a run along the sea in the morning, breathing in the fresh air, or to enjoy a game of tennis or a day’s golf. The Lido golf club is one of the oldest in Italy, and its green course, from the post-war period to the present day, has witnessed the games of the magnate Henry Ford and many other prominent figures.
The beauty of its course lies in the technical difficulty of the eighteen holes and the environment in which it is surrounded, suspended between sea and land, it is a real gem for lovers of this sport.

Not only can you enjoy the many activities, but you can also do them in breathtaking locations. Try rowing on one of the typical Venetian boats and exploring the lagoon environment is definitely a unique experience… don’t miss this opportunity!

Team Venezia Serenissima has devised the “BioWalk Green Tour” workout, which is offered at weekends with original and very green routes in which body and mind can immerse themselves and the eye can wander among the colours of nature for total well-being. Starting from a preview stage in Aquileia (where St Mark went to evangelise the area), the route takes in the lagoon areas where the Evangelist passed through. Through the lagoon gutters and the islands of the lagoon, it reaches St. Mark’s Basilica and then along the Lido coastline to the ancient village of Malamocco.
Lido di Venezia is synonymous with physical and cultural activity and is rich in benefits thanks to the paths traced between beaches, sea and dykes, oases, pinewoods and unique lagoon views that offer everything you need to get out, walk and dream at all ages!
