Rome Film Festival

Rome Film Festival

The 19th edition of the Rome Film Festival will take place from October 16-27, 2024.

Rome will once again be transformed into the perfect stage for celebrating great cinema, with directors, actors and fans from all over the world and with a program full of previews, meetings and debates.
The event, which is officially recognized by the FIAPF (Fédération Internationale des Associations de Producteurs de Films), will have as its main venue the Auditorium Parco della Musica, where the main screenings will be held and one of the world’s most impressive red carpets will be laid out. In addition to this location, the program will also involve other cultural areas of the Capital.
Beginning in 2022, the Film Festival also introduced an international competition: a jury composed of professionals in film, culture, and the arts will evaluate the competing works. In addition to the competition, there will be non-competitive sections, audience meetings, special screenings and tributes to significant figures in the world of cinema.

Alice in the City, the autonomous and parallel section dedicated to the new generations, will be held on the same dates as the Festival, following its own regulations.

The soul of the Film Festival lies in the balance between a high-quality program and its accessibility to the general public, which is the real protagonist of the event. Great attention is paid to the pricing policy, with many events having free admission.

The ticket office will open about a week before the start of the Festival and will remain active for the duration of the event. Numerous conventions will make the festival experience even smoother and more engaging. The Artistic Director is Paola Malanga, a journalist, film critic, co-founder of Duel magazine and Paolo Mereghetti’s collaborator for the famous Dictionary of Films, as well as author of important essays on great authors of world cinema and deputy director of Rai Cinema.

Get ready to immerse yourself in stories that excite, inspire and make you think.
