The Maremma on 2 wheels

In the heart of the Maremma hinterland between nature and sport

The Maremma on 2 wheels

If you are a freethinker on two wheels, love nature, sport and places far from the frenzy of everyday life, then this might interest you.
Without hurrying, with the desire to capture every little detail of the Maremma, you can enter the heart of the land with your five senses. Excursions by mountain bike or city bike are open all year round, and the routes differ in terms of duration, gradient and surface level of difficulty. Here are some alternatives.

Feniglia ring -easy-
The route is about 20 km long and the starting point is in the centre of Orbetello. The route follows the cycle path that runs along the lagoon and crosses the dam, the road that connects Orbetello to Monte Argentario, dividing the two lagoons, to reach the Tombolo della Feniglia. The trail then winds its way along simple paths with the possibility of spotting fallow deer and wild boar. The excursion ends at the sea where it is possible to stop for a swim or a picnic in the refreshing shade of the pine forest.

Spanish forts -intermediate-
The basic route is about 20 km long, starting from Porto Ercole.
The excursion includes a visit to the three forts: Forte Filippo, Forte Stella and the Rocca.

Monte Argentario e Convento dei Frati Passionisti -hard-
The route has a length of about 25 km, with significant inclines.
The route runs along the Strada del Monte and ends at the antennae, passing the Convento dei Passionisti, which has a refreshment point, La Sorgente, where you can stop for a snack.
