Family continuity, product innovation and a new organisational structure to support future growth. The Caesar Hotels embarks on an independent development path under the leadership of Francesco Francorsi.
Talamone, 12 October 2026 – Evolving without losing its identity. With this goal in mind, Gitav enters a new chapter in its history, reshaping its governance and organisational structure to further accelerate the development of the different hospitality concepts established over the years.
Benjamin Francorsi takes over as CEO of Consorzio Gitav, having long played an active and leading role in the group’s growth and development, both within Gitavillage and its hotel operations. His appointment reflects a commitment to generational continuity, alongside the ambition to accelerate the evolution of the Gitavillage offering in an outdoor hospitality market increasingly focused on experiences that combine nature, comfort, innovation and a strong connection to the local area.
Alongside his involvement in the group, Benjamin Francorsi has contributed to the development of several entrepreneurial projects, gaining a broad range of skills and experience that strengthen the innovative, growth-oriented approach he intends to bring to his leadership of Consorzio Gitav.
The new CEO has developed an in-depth understanding of the Gitav offering through its most tangible aspect: the guest experience at each property. After managing some of the group’s leading Gitavillage holiday resorts, he went on to take on responsibilities in Product & Strategy, making a significant contribution to the development and evolution of Gitav’s products and new hospitality concepts.
This cross-functional career path has enabled him to combine first-hand operational knowledge of the properties with a strategic vision of product development and evolving market needs.
Benjamin Francorsi will continue this journey alongside his brother Cesare and his cousins Anna, Marco and Francesca Romana Francorsi, maintaining family continuity and a shared vision for the company’s future.
“Our goal is to continue building Gitav’s future together with our family and the next generations,” comments Benjamin Francorsi. “Alongside strengthening our outdoor hospitality business, we are moving forward with two major hotel development projects and supporting a third strategic initiative. Together, these projects represent a fundamental part of Gitav’s heritage and the evolution of the brand. We will continue to pursue a diversified strategy, keeping hospitality at the heart of our business while also exploring complementary initiatives and new projects beyond the traditional hotel sector, creating opportunities for sustainable growth and long-term value.”
The new organisational structure follows the years of leadership of Gloria Francorsi, former CEO of GITAV, who played a key role in an important phase of the company’s development.
Gitav wishes to thank her for her contribution to the growth and transformation of the company, supporting its development not only in terms of its hospitality offering but also its organisational culture.
Under her leadership, several initiatives focused on training and professional development, including Gitav Academy, were introduced, while a vision of hospitality combining tradition, innovation and sustainability became firmly established.
“We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Gloria for the energy, vision and dedication she has brought to Gitav over the years. The legacy she has helped build provides a strong foundation for continued growth and innovation,” the Consorzio Gitav states.
Gloria Francorsi will continue her professional journey by focusing on the development of new hospitality projects in Italy and abroad, drawing on the experience and vision she gained during her years at the helm of Gitav.
The organisational transformation also extends to the hotel division. The The Caesar Hotels brand, together with The Caesar Roma, Park Hotel, Il Telamonio, Argentario Osa Resort, Venezia 2000 and Club degli Amici, will separate from Gitav to pursue an independent path of growth and development, under the leadership of Francesco Francorsi, who has been managing the hotel division for many years.
This decision will allow both businesses to focus more closely on their respective strengths and market opportunities, while preserving the wealth of experience and expertise developed together.
For The Caesar Hotels, this marks the beginning of a new phase dedicated to strengthening and evolving its hotel business, building on the extensive know-how Francesco Francorsi has acquired over the years in hotel management and development.
Capo d’Uomo, Le Cannelle and Pian dei Mucini, on the other hand, will remain within the Gitav Group, continuing their development in line with the Group’s overall strategy.
The new organisational structure marks a significant evolution built on continuity, with a renewed focus on the core business areas where the company believes it can make the greatest difference.
On one side, Gitav, led by Benjamin Francorsi, strengthens its commitment to contemporary outdoor hospitality, where nature, local destinations, product innovation and guest experience are becoming increasingly interconnected. On the other, The Caesar Hotels gains greater independence to develop its own hotel business model under the leadership of Francesco Francorsi.
These two distinct paths share the same family entrepreneurial heritage and culture of hospitality, but can now grow with more focused strategies, products and brand identities.
For Gitav, this transformation represents a natural step in a journey that has progressively broadened the very concept of an outdoor holiday: from traditional camping to glamping experiences and innovative accommodation, through to experiences centred around sports, local culture, sustainability, MICE and wellness.
A new chapter, therefore, but with the same guiding principle: creating places and experiences that leave lasting memories for guests and a positive impact on the destinations that welcome them.
